Early in my career, I worked in the event planning space as an Art Department Supervisor at Heffernan Morgan Ronsley, later HMR Designs. In this role, I was expected to take the sales team's event contract concept and communicate the requirements to a staff of five to ten skilled artists to make sure our art asset packages met the expectations of the client. From paint to pack, my team and I rarely missed a mark, and even in the face of stumbling blocks, I was quick to find a solution without impacting project timelines. My proudest contract to work on was an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party with an $80k budget that was nominated for a Chicago BizBash award. When I left the position, the company split my job into three roles, due to the overwhelming amount of responsibilities I handled.
